Taiga is located on lot 9B in Wentworth Point, a significant urban renewal consisting of residential and commercial development adjacent to Homebush Bay.
The development is divided into three separate building forms: one 27 storey tower + two 8 storey low rise forms. More than 40% of the site area is provided for communal open space. This includes a Pocket Park for public use and a private landscaped podium. A waterfall and reservoirs have been used to connect the two green spaces, and provide a reflective and tranquil setting.
The tower provides shared facilities for the whole development. The main lobby features a concierge desk, mailroom, a wi-fi lounge, library and meeting rooms. A music room with a grand piano sets the tone of the refined interiors.
The tower’s rooftop provides resort style facilities including: infinity pool, sun deck, cabanas, external kitchen, BBQ and dining pods. The 800sqm area has been designed to provide areas of sun, shade, shelter, landscaping and deep and shallow water. The rooftop takes advantage of the 180 degree views of Homebush Bay, Parramatta River and the city skyline.
Low maintenance cladding materials are complimented with a natural colour palette evoking a timeless quality. The base of the building is clad in dark basalt stone that grounds the building to the public domain. The upper buildings are clad in composite and profiled metal claddings to provide sleek and varied forms. Bronze glass has been used to highlight and articulate facades.
