Lumia holds a unique position within The Orchards precinct and Norwest. It has a strong connection to the natural surrounds whilst enjoying the emerging urban amenity offered by the Norwest city centre and the new Metro station which are in easy walking distance.
On arrival, double-height foyers are surrounded by planting. A boardwalk from the street floats above the rain gardens further enhancing the arrival experience. Above the entries, vertical gardens in curved planters cover the façade.
Each apartment has been planned to take advantage of the district views and green outlooks with large format windows and oversized balconies. A key feature of Lumia is the outdoor pool and pavilion. This pavilion is appointed with a collection of communal and intimate dining and lounge areas that overlook the pool and linear park beyond.
Underpinning our design agenda are tried and tested sustainability initiatives. Solar panels on rooftops provide supplementary power and hot water. Green roofs together with the highly detailed masonry facades have a large thermal mass that keeps apartments cool in summer and warm in winter. Whilst careful consideration to the form and articulation of the buildings ensures that sunlight and natural ventilation are maximised to all apartments.
