Located on the eastern side of Waterloo, at the corner of Bourke Street and Sydneygate the site sits within an established industrial area undergoing transformation. The buildings form the second phase of the development known collectively as Divercity.
The overall composition consists of two podium bases with a single tower to the northeast, and perimeter forms that vary in height and scale in response to the various uses and contexts. Building depth has also been manipulated along the various facades to create a composition of strong building elements separated from one-another by recesses. Operable screening devices have been employed to provide privacy and protection from the sun, and will enhance the activation of the streetscapes as the residents pivot the vertical blades in response to their needs.
The development includes a new public park directly to the east of the site known as South Park that will provide additional open space both for the residents and the wider community.
The buildings range from 6- to 12-storeys and comprise 359 apartments.
