A familial approach to the buildings has been used to create a cohesive architecture that is simple but strong in concept. The evocative curved forms introduced to the corners and central areas of the building create softness to the forms and accentuate the breaks in the buildings.
The highly articulated buildings, together with an activated street frontage develop a cohesive response to the site that is both recognisable and contextually appropriate.
Entry into the development has been celebrated through an interlinking Pedestrian Porte Cochere that opens to the lush landscaped courtyard. The roof forms of the awning create an element that marries the two towers together through the exaggerated movement in the shape that identifies points of significance to invite residents and visitors into the development.
Landscape has been a key element to the design to engender community spirit for residents within the development and offers both public and private areas for congregation and activities.
To enhance the residential experience the Level 19 Sky terrace brings the residents to another realm to enjoy the vistas with BBQ and seating integrated to provide an active space that can be used all year round.
A variety of apartment typologies have been designed to take advantage of city and district views. They have been designed to ensure high amenity to all apartments with maximizing north facing apartments overlooking the landscaped courtyard. Street entry apartments along Byfield Street offer activation along the street edge.
The retail component of the development bounds Waterloo road with double height spaces that open to outdoor dining terraces which are wrapped around the tenancies. The retail creates a viable element in the development to draw visitors to the area and activate the precinct.
